MANON DIEMER
Drawing Artist
Manon Diemer is a French artist based between La Rochelle and Paris. After training at the Beaux-Arts in Lyon and the Gobelins in Paris, she began her career in an agency, where she worked for 4 years before devoting herself fully to her passion.
Manon (formerly Bamboulino) works with drawing in all its forms, using a variety of techniques: black ink, pastels, coloured pencils and felt-tip pens. His sense of framing, derived from his photographic practice, enables him to capture natural or architectural elements. Her work reveals a genuine admiration for the raw, untamed beauty of nature, which she skilfully blends with a rich imagination imbued with mystery and fantasy, inspired by her reading and travels.
All her work is part of a desire to emancipate herself from the frenetic pace of urban life, in favour of time, time to contemplate and observe the world around us.
‘Drawing allows me to escape from the world and from time,’ confides the artist. The choice of drawing as a means of expression for the artist makes perfect sense.
